Waterloo, died Tuesday, Aug. 8.She was born Jan. 4, 1936, in Hampton, daughter of Floyd and Mary Wilson Babcock. She married Marlin Stevens on June 28, 1954, in Nashua. He died Dec. 30, 2004.Betty graduated from Orange High School in 1954 and owned and operated Stevens Trophy House for 20 years, retiring in 1996.Survived by: two daughters, Debra Harp of Reeds Springs, Mo., and Shirley (Glen) Conger of Waterloo; three sons, Scott (Emily) of Cape Coral, Fla., John (Lisa) of Waterloo and Randy Stevens of Reeds Springs, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.Preceded in death by: her parents; and a son-in-law, Rick Harp.Services: noon Monday, Aug. 14, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with entombment in the Garden of Memories Mausoleum, with a luncheon following at John’s home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home.

George Robert "Bob" Moore (1919-2017)

Hawkeye Care Center, Milford.He was born Feb. 18, 1919, in Urbana, son of Charles D. and Birdie O. Berg Moore. He married Stella J. “Stacey” Domeszwski on July 4, 1947, in University City, Mo. She died April 23, 2004.Bob graduated from Iowa State University and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army as a First Lieutenant. In 1947 he was a salesperson for Cherry Burrell in Cedar Rapids, and in 1957 he started his own company called Midwest Food Supply, which he ran until his retirement 25 years later.Survivors: a daughter, Karen (Gary) Lippe of Okoboji/Tucson, Ariz.; four sons, James (Cheryl) of Waterloo, Steven (Anna) of Okoboji, Stan (Sharla) of Fairfax and Tom (Linda) of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren, Charles (Sarah) Moore, Bob, Kristina (Jake) Taylor, Stephanie, (Peter Bratney, Skyler Moore, Joe Moore, Sheridan Moore, Elizabeth (Colter) Prehm, Jarrad Moore, Mackenzie Moore; and eight great-grandchildren.Preceded in death by: his parents.Private Family Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. Public visitation will take place one hour before services at the funeral home. Full military rites will be conducted by the Iowa Army honor Guard and the Evansdales AMVETS post 31.Memorials: to the family.Bob and Stacey enjoyed their retirement years going to Okoboji in the summer and spending time with all their children and grandchildren. They spent many winters at their home in Mesa, Ariz.
